Nelly Korda is one of the biggest names in golf. She holds the record with 18 professional wins and won the gold medal in women's golf at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She rose to fame by winning her first LPGA major championship at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship at Atlanta Athletic Club on June 27, 2021. Korda topped the world golf rankings by beating Lizette Salas by three strokes.

She made her debut at the Symetra Tour in 2016. She defeated Vichan Michail by three strokes with a total score of 68-67-69-66. The win made history as she and her sister, Jessica Korda, became the third siblings to win on the LPGA Tour.

She came back into the spotlight on the 5th of August, 2020 when she became the second American woman to win an Olympic gold medal. She won the competition at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Japan. In the same year, she appeared in many LPGA tour seasons. With four victories in her hand, she became the first American to win four times in the LPGA Tour season.

Nelly Korda's sister, Jessica Korda, motivated her to pursue golf after winning her maiden LPGA event at the 2012 Women's Australian Open just before turning 19.

Korda had an impressive amateur career in addition to her professional one. Korda qualified for the 2013 US Women's Open one month before her 15th birthday. She won the Harder Hall Invitational and the PING Invitational in 2015, and she was named an AJGA Rolex Junior All-American that year. Korda participated in the 2015 U.S. Junior Solheim Cup.
