Gerry Lester "Bubba" Watson is an American professional golfer. In 2022, he joined the LIV Golf League as captain of the GC Range Goats. Born on November 5, 1978, Watson started playing golf at Milton High School in Florida while still a high school student. Following that, he attended Faulkner State Community College before enrolling at the University of Georgia in 2000.

Watson turned professional in 2002 and won his first professional tournament, the Michelob Ultra Orange Park Open, in 2004. After earning his PGA Tour card in 2006, he won his first PGA win in 2010, at the Travelers Championship. From 2006 to 2014, he was ranked first in driving distance statistics five times. In February 2015, he reached his world career-high ranking of No. 2.
