Ochai Agbaji is an American basketball player who is signed with the Toronto Raptors. Agbaji is a two-way shooting guard who is known for his shooting and explosive athleticism. Born on April 20, 2000, Agbaji played the entire four years of college ball at the University of Kansas from 2018 to 2022. Agbaji’s senior season for the Jayhawks was special as he averaged 18.8 points while shooting 47.5 from the field and 40.9 from 3-point distance while getting 5.1 boards per game. The cherry on the top moment of Agbaji’s college career was winning the 2022 NCAA Div-I championship. He was also named the NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player.

Eventually, Ochai Agbaji was selected with the 14th overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers but soon he got traded to the Utah Jazz. Agbaji was given limited opportunities with the Utah Jazz in rookie season as he played for the Salt Lake City Stars in the G League and averaged 13.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.0 assists. In his one and half seasons with the Utah Jazz, Agbaji appeared in 110 games and averaged 6.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. He shot 42.7% from the field, 34.6% from three. On February 8, 2024, Ochai Agbaji was traded to the Toronto Raptors along with Kelly Olynyk in exchange for Kira Lewis Jr., Otto Porter Jr., and a 2024 first-round draft pick. This pick became the 29th overall selection in the 2024 NBA Draft, where Isiah Collier was chosen. With the Raptors, Agbaji’s role in the rotation has improved.
