Jordan Dorrell Hawkins, an American who played college basketball, was a member of the UConn Huskies of the Big East Conference. He was born on April 29, 2002. Hawkins was born and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and first attended Gaithersburg High School. He transferred to DeMatha Catholic High School after his second year. Senior Hawkins had a per-game average of 19.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.3 steals, and 1.9 blocks. The Maryland Gatorade Player of the Year award went to him. Hawkins, a four-star recruit, selected UConn over offers to play college basketball from Louisville, Marquette, Xavier, and Seton Hall.
Jordan Hawkins’ Father
Jordan Hawkins’ father is Craig Hawkins. When Jordan was born, his father reportedly showed up with a basketball in his hand and already had a hooper’s dream ready for his son. Craig had hoped for his son to also love the game of basketball and that is exactly how it played out.
Today Craig and Jasmine Hawkins, his father and his mother, are always courtside attending and watching every game of Jordan’s. If anything, there is no doubt that Jordan will enter the NBA soon through the draft and his father is going to be very proud of his journey. Craig is probably the biggest supporter and a fan of his son’s game.
