As a sophomore in 2022, he played all 12 games, finishing the season with 61 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks, leading the team in both sacks and tackles for loss. His efforts on the field earned him a spot on the second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) list. In the 2023 season, Ezeiruaku was recognized as a preseason first-team All-ACC selection. His junior year saw him start all 13 games, where he recorded 53 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and two forced fumbles. In the 2024 season, Donovan Ezeiruaku recorded 80 total tackles, with 37 being solo, and achieved 16.5 sacks. This performance earned him the title of 2024 ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
