Jacob Knuth, born on December 17, 2003, is an American football quarterback who recently transferred to the Kansas State Wildcats. He was one of the best quarterbacks ever to come out of South Dakota. Jacob embarked on his high school football career at the Harrisburg High School where he was rated a top player from South Dakota by all major sports outlets. He was named the Gatorade Player of the Year from South Dakota. As a senior in 2021, Knuth led the Harrisburg Tigers to their first-ever State Championship. He recorded 2,413 passing yards and 26 touchdowns while also adding 527 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. Knuth threw for 1,112 yards and ten touchdowns while also rushing for 110 yards and one touchdown. He was rated a consensus three-star recruit and was also honored with the 11AAA MidcoSports Player of the Year Award.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound quarterback kick-started his collegiate football journey with the Minnesota Gophers over offers from Air Force, Kansas State, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Iowa State, and North Dakota State among others. As a freshman in 2022 with the Gophers, Knuth redshirted the season and was one of the 17 Gophers to enter the portal that year. In 2023, he transferred to Kansas State with four years of eligibility remaining.
