In his first year at Iowa in 2020, Luke was redshirted, and in the following year in 2021, he played in 13 games with three starts, catching eight passes for 133 yards with an average of 16.6 yards per catch.
In 2022, Luke Lachey received the honor of the Academic All-Big Ten for the second year in a row, as well as an honorable mention to the All-Big Ten by League Media.
