Luke Lachey is an American college football tight end for the Iowa Hawkeyes, representing the University of Iowa. He joined the University of Iowa in 2020 and has been a key player for the team ever since. In his first year at Iowa in 2020, Luke was redshirted, and in the following year in 2021, he played in 13 games with three starts, catching eight passes for 133 yards with an average of 16.6 yards per catch.
In 2022, Luke received the honor of the Academic All-Big Ten for the second year in a row, as well as an honorable mention to the All-Big Ten by League Media. He also received the Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators and was recognized as a Dean's List student in both, the fall of 2022 and spring of 2023.
In the 2023 season, Luke continued to excel academically and athletically, and was named to the Preseason second-team All-Big Ten by Phil Steele and the preseason third-team All-Big Ten by Athlon Sports. He was also named to the John Mackey Award preseason Watch List and maintained his status as an Academic All-Big Ten student. Luke was further recognized as a President’s List and Dean’s List student in the fall of 2023.
