Jalon Walker is an American linebacker who played three years of collegiate football with the Georgia Bulldogs. The Conway native was born on February 24, 2004, and is concluded his junior season with the Bulldogs in 2024. The 6 ft 1-inch player attended Salisbury High School in Salisbury, North Carolina. Jalon Walker recorded 79 tackles and eight sacks, after which he was the 2021 North Carolina Gatorade Football Player of the Year. The five-star recruit was named to play in the 2022 Under Armour All-American Game before he committed himself to play for Georgia University and start his college football career.
In his true freshman year, Walker was named to play in all 15 games in 2022, where he recorded nine tackles and one sack at Georgia. He was also in the team that won the National Championship over TCU. The following year, Walker once more attended all 14 games when he recorded 20 tackles and five sacks in the 2023 season. Last season as a junior, Walker recorded a career-high 61 total tackles and 6.5 sacks. He was the recipient of the 2024 Butkus Award, given to the country's top linebacker. Following the 2024 season, Walker announced his intention to enter the 2025 NFL Draft, foregoing his final year of eligibility (via ESPN).
