Matayo Uiagalelei was born in Bellflower, California, in 2005 (his birthdate is not known) to David and Tausha, who migrated from the Samoan Islands. Matayo and his brother DJ are second generation Americans, after the migration.

David is a former bodyguard and worked as a School Resource Officer (SRO) in California. His mother, Tausha, was a surrogate mother but is currently a certified food handler and entrepreneur. Who is Matayo Uiagalelei’s father?

David, aka Big Dave, is the father of Matayo Uiagalelei.

Big Dave used to be a bodyguard for DJ Khaled, Meek Mill, Nick Cannon, Rihanna, and other celebrities. But despite earning a lot of money as a celebrity bodyguard, he gave that up to spend more time with his sons. D.J. once questioned Big Dave about why he was gone from home so much when he was nine years old, and Dave quit as a bodyguard to work as a school resource officer.

Even though his income as a celebrity bodyguard decreased when he left, he continued to make sure his sons went camping and received the training they needed to develop into talented football players. Social media advertising is something that Big Dave Uiagalelei is well-known for promoting.

David himself played quarterback in high school but was ineligible, so he took to the stage during halftime of basketball games, executing a variety of impressive dunks, and at halftime of football games, tossing the football tremendous distances during intermission.

Who is Matayo Uiagalelei’s mother?

Tausha Raquel is the mother of Mataya Uiagalelei.

Tausha had to become a surrogate mother six times to support her family financially in the past, and currently, she is a certified food handler and an entrepreneur for A1 Mealprep, as per her Instagram handle (Tausha Raquel (@mama_taush)).

She used to take both her sons to practice while David was at work. According to the Post and Courier, she stated, "There was no way I could have done all that I did and got them to the practices, wherever they needed to go if I was working a full-time job."

In an interview, Tausha disclosed that she often closed her eyes and imagined a different world while raising her two boys. She imagined a world in which she did not have to carry another person's child to make ends meet.

For fourteen years, Matayo's maternal grandmother lived with the family before she passed away from the sickness. As Tausha puts it, she was "the ultimate grandma." She used to adore board games and spend hours playing Monopoly with the boys before becoming ill. She would assist them with creative projects and read to them.

Matayo's uncle was a football player, and his grandfather ran track and played semi-pro baseball. Thus, there was athletic talent on his mother's side of the family as well. In a similar vein, Tausha's uncle, Rolland Lawrence, played for the Atlanta Falcons for more than ten years, from 1973 to 1980.
