In 2022, he played 11 games and recorded 35 tackles. He transferred to Alabama Crimson Tide in 2023, playing in all 14 games and starting once. Trey Amos had a remarkable career at Catholic-New Iberia High School, being an all-around athlete in football, basketball, and track & field. He led his school football team to the state championship in 2017, the state championship finals in 2018, and the state championship semifinals in 2019. He also won the 7-2A District MVP in 2018. In track & field, he won the Class 2A state title in the long jump category with a jump of 22 feet, 9.75 inches. As a three-star prospect, he was ranked as the No. 63 player in the state of Louisiana by 247Sports.
