
Jasprit Bumrah is a professional cricket fast bowler for the Indian cricket team in all interntional formats. He was born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on December 06, 1993. He plays for the Gujarat state in domestic cricket and for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Bumrah has been a part of the Mumbai Indians franchise and has won five IPL trophies since 2013.
Having made his international debut against Australia in 2016 in a T20I game, he became an all-format player when he made his debut in test cricket in South Africa in 2018. In tests, he becomes the fastest Indian bowler to reach 200 wickets. He is also the second fastest pacer to reach 100 wickets in ODIs. Bumrah won the Polly Umrigar Award for Best Male Cricketer in 2018-19 and 2021-22. He has also won ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year and Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy in 2024. Bumrah was declared the player of the tournament when India won the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
