Mitchell Starc is a left-arm fast pacer who represents the Australian men’s cricket team across all formats of international cricket. He was an integral part of the Australian squads that won the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, and the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. He was named the ‘Player of the Tournament’ for picking 22 wickets in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

Starc was the first bowler to take a hat-trick in each innings of a match in the Sheffield Shield tournament when he achieved the feat for New South Wales against Western Australia in November 2017. Starc has also achieved the distinct feat of taking 100 wickets and scoring 1000 runs in Test cricket. According to the official website of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Delhi Capitals (DC) bagged Starc for a price of INR 11.75 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction. He has previously represented the Royal Challengers Bangalore (now Royal Challengers Bengaluru) and won the 2024 edition of the IPL with the Kolkata Knight Riders.
