Smriti Mandhana Family

Smriti Mandhana was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra on July 18, 1996. She is an opening batter for the Indian team and is amongst the sheer talented cricketers to come through the ranks of Indian women’s cricket. Smriti made her international debut in 2013. In June 2018, she was adjudged the ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year and the ICC Women's ODI Player of the Year.Smriti Mandhana is the most expensive player in the Women's Premier League (WPL). During the first WPL auction (2023), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) bought her for a huge amount of INR 3.4 crore and appointed her as the team's captain. But she didn’t leave much of a mark in the first edition of WPL and scored only 149 runs in 8 matches. The consequences of her poor performance were visible in her captaincy as well. Due to this, RCB won only 2 games in the entire season.Smriti made a comeback in the second edition of WPL (2024). She scored 300 runs and also led RCB to its first title under her captaincy. She also came fourth on the list of batters who scored the most runs.

Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana was a district-level cricketer and represented Sangli in his early years. Shrinivas always wanted to be a cricketer but he never got that kind of support from his parents. So he extended all the support he could to Smriti and her brother. Shrinivas had aspired that one of his children would play for India and is an extremely proud father after Smriti made his dreams come true. Smriti Mandhana’s elder brother

Smriti’s brother, Shravan Mandhana was also a cricketer and represented the state of Maharashtra. After watching her brother play in the Maharashtra state Under-16 tournaments, Smriti was initially inspired to take up cricket. Apart from this, her elder brother also contributes to her cricket practice sessions by bowling to Smriti in the nets. Shravan, along with Smriti’s father, looks after the SM-18 cafe. In an Instagram post, Smriti had extended gratitude to his brother for looking after the restaurant.She wrote, ”As a kid I always wanted to open a restaurant or a cafe, being a big foodie myself. A few years back I decided to open an SM-18 cafe but did not know how to start or run it. So I asked bhaiya if he would be keen to look after it. And now 3 years down the line, I see it grow as one of the best cafés in the city and all credit goes to my brother who worked hard to make my dream come true. Thank you bhaiya.”

Smriti Mandhana has never formally revealed that she is dating anyone. According to a report by ABP News, it is assumed that she is dating music composer ‘Palash Muchhal’. Palash is Smriti's rumored boyfriend in the media world. He is the brother of famous Bollywood singer Palak Muchhal. That's not all, He has also dedicated a song to Smriti in one of his live concerts.
