God of War Ragnarök is the ninth installment in Sony Interactive Entertainment's God of War series, which was developed by Santa Monica Studio and released by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The 2022 release will pick up where the 2018 release left off, following Kratos and his son, Atreus, as they journey across the nine realms to avoid Ragnarök while conquering enemies worldwide.
What is God of War Ragnarok about?
God of War 2018, which is basically the predecessor of God of War Ragnarok, ends with Kratos fighting Baldur and defeating him. That triggered an event which will indicate the onset of Fimbulwinter. After the Fimbulwinter began, three years later, Kratos and his son Atreus embark on another journey where formidable enemies are waiting for them, including Baldur’s mother Freya, half-brother Thor, and his father Odin.

What is the difference between God of War Ragnarok and the 2018 game?
God of War Ragnarok starts where God of War 2018 ends. All the events till the onset of Fimbulwinter happen in God of War 2018. The Jötunn Seeress Gróa saw a vision of Ragnarök's events while looking at her spouse in the old library. She witnessed the start of Fimbulwinter and all the horrible events that followed, culminating with the Gods pitted against each other.
The Seeress provides Odin with knowledge. Odin sensed her vision and went to her library to demand what she had seen. Yet, he could only obtain scraps of knowledge on Ragnarök's significant figures. After this, the plot concerns Odin's trickery and treachery, which leads to his expulsion from Jötunheim. This resulted in a misunderstanding of the chronology of important events, such as Baldur's death, which precipitated Ragnarök.
How long does it take to complete God of War Ragnarök?
God of War Ragnarök should take between 50 and 60 hours to finish. Platinum trophy hunters in God of War Ragnarok should expect to spend more than 60 hours completing the game. There are several side missions, bosses, endgame challenges, and epilogue pathways to look forward to when the credits roll.
