The AdventHealth 400 will be the first race held at the Kansas International Speedway during the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series. The AdventHealth 400 race has seen many sponsorship changes over the years throughout its history. The AdventHealth 400 is famously known for its 2021 edition of the race. The 2021 race was sponsored by Busch Beer. The company decided to give fans the opportunity to choose a name for the race through a contest. The payment was later donated to non-profit organisation Farm Rescue and the race was finally named as Bushy McBush Race 400 after the winning entry, as per KSHB. It was also sponsored by Nickelodeon in 2015 and was featured through the SpongeBob Squarepants show.

The Kansas Speedway is known for hosting many different events. It has an oval and road course which is combined together form a roval track. The second race held at the Kansas Speedway is part of the NASCAR playoffs, known as the Hollywood Casino 400. The weekend will also feature a NASCAR Truck Series race precedeing the original Cup Series event. The Truck Series will host their event, 2025 Heart of America 200, on Saturday 10th May from 6:30 PM track time.

AdventHealth 400 became a part of the NASCAR Cup Series for first time in 2011. It was a part of the June schedule of the NASCAR calendar. Brad Keselowski won the race ahead of Dale Earnhardt Jr. by saving fuel. Due to the reconfiguration of the Kansas Speedway, the race was moved to April. The race was known as STP 400 from 2011 to 2013 due to sponsorship from STP. In 2024, the race was extended due to overtime finish. The AdventHealth 400 was won by Kyle Larson for Hendrick Motorsports.

The 2024 AdventHealth 400 came into spotlight due to late race action involving Larson and Chris Buescher. A late race pileup led to significant changes in the driver positions and the final standings. Buescher and Larson battled it out to the finish line. At first, it felt like Buescher took the win but the difference was not visible to the naked eye. However, review footage showed that Kyle Larson won the race by mere 0.001 seconds. FOX states that the margin of victory set a NASCAR record for the closest finish in Cup Series making the AdventHealth 400 a memorable race.
