There are roughly 70 players in the Arnold Palmer Invitational field, with a $20 million purse. It was scheduled for March 4, 2024, to March 10, 2024. And on the final day, Scottie Scheffler won the event with a score of 273, under 15. He defeated Wyndham Clark for his second Arnold Palmer title, winning $4 million and 700 FedEx Cup points.
The Bay Hill Club and Lodge, a private golf estate southwest of Orlando, Florida, is home to the PGA's Arnold Palmer Invitational, which is hosted there in March. Arnold Palmer has owned the facility since 1974.
Introduced in 1966 and hosted at Rio Pinar Country Club, east of Orlando, until 1978, the Florida Citrus Open Invitational was superseded in 1979 by the competition that exists today. Arnold Palmer won the Florida Citrus Open in 1971.
A red cardigan sweater has been given to the winner as a token of respect ever since Arnold Palmer passed away in 2016. It all began with the 2017 event and this custom. Up to three non-exempt players who meet the requirements can compete in the Open Championship, which was introduced to the Open Qualifying Series in 2019.
The 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational was won by Kurt Kitayama. On the PGA Tour, Kitayama triumphed at Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Florida. Kitayama received the $3,600,000 share of the $20,000,000 purse awarded to the winner.

Arnold Palmer Invitational Arnold Palmer Invitational 2024 Course details
The venue for the Arnold Palmer Invitational is the Bay Hill Club & Lodge, a private golf club and hotel located in Bay Hill, Florida, a neighbourhood in the southeast of the United States that is southwest of Orlando.
In 1961, Dick Wilson designed the Champion and Challenger nines, which included the original eighteen holes at Bay Hill, and Bob Simmons built them. Regarded as one of Wilson's best designs, the course is a prime example of his custom of slightly elevating the putting surfaces to improve visibility and drainage. Simmons designed the extra nine holes, or Charger Nine, following Wilson's death.
Situated between the Butler Chain of Lakes and the town of Bay Hill, the course spans 270 acres (1.1 km2). There are three different nine-hole golf courses available: Challenger, Champion, and Charger. After being owned by Arnold Palmer from 1974 until his death in 2016, it is currently held by Amy and Roy Saunders, his daughter and son-in-law.
Along with the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy, a 69-room lodge, six guest cottages, tennis courts, a fitness center, and a marina, Bay Hill Club & Lodge also features a spa.

Arnold Palmer Invitational Tournament Purse History
Since 2023, the purse of the Arnold Palmer Invitational has been fixed with a large purse of $20 million and the winner’s share of 3.6 million, but earlier they had a lower purse. However, the 2024 winner received $4 million in winner’s share, which is usually not the case with signature events except the Players Championship, which offers more to the winner than the designated $3.6 million. A decade earlier, in 2014, the tournament had a total purse of $6.2 million, with the winner's share of $1,116,000.
The purse had grown to this point to as much as $12 million in 2022. A steady growth with raising a few hundred thousand to a few millions, however, the jump from 2021’s $9.3 million to directly $12 million was huge. Regardless, the next year, the classified purse of all of the signature events came at par with the $20 million purse and the winner's share of $3.6 million.
