Nelly Korda is world No. 1 as of March 2024; she recently won the LPGA Drive On Championship, defeating Lydia Ko in a playoff with a score of 273, under 11. Korda won with par on the second extra hole; this was her ninth LPGA tour win and 14th overall.

Korda won the gold medal in the women's individual golf tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Alongside her sister Jessica Korda, she competed for the United States in the Solheim Cups in 2019 and 2021, as well as in 2023. She also took home the Women's PGA Championship in 2021.

She participated on the Symetra Tour after going pro in 2016 and won her first professional event, the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge, by three strokes. She qualified for the 2017 LPGA season by finishing ninth on the money list. The 2018 Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship saw her and her sister Jessica Korda become the third sister duo to win an LPGA event.

Korda's mother, Regina Rajchrtova, is a former Czechoslovakian professional tennis player born on February 5, 1968. She participated in the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics, and between 1984 and 1987, she won two singles and three doubles on the ITF circuit. Rajchrtova reached her career high of No. 26 in 1991 and two years later, she retired in 1993.

Korda's father, Petr Korda, a former Czech professional tennis player, was born on January 23, 1968. He finished second in the French Open in 1992 and achieved his career high of world No. 2 after winning the Australian Open in 1988. Furthermore, he won the Hopman Cup in 1994 and the Australian Open doubles in 1996 with Stefan Edberg.

Petr even defeated the former world No. 1 Pete Sampras in the 1997 U.S. Open in five sets. He was suspended for a year in July 1998 after testing positive for doping at Wimbledon. After that, he continued to play for seven more years until he eventually retired in 2005.

The 2021 Emilia-Romagna Open is the only ATP singles tournament that he has won. Following his father, Petr Korda, by 20 years, he also took home the junior title in the 2018 Australian Open.

Jessica Korda is the elder sister of Nelly Korda; she is a professional golfer on the LPGA Tour with six wins. She played in the 2009 U.S. Junior Solheim Cup and the 2010 U.S. Curtis Cup and finished runner-up in the U.S. Women's Amateur in 2010. By the end of the 2010 season, she qualified for the LPGA tour for the 2011 season and turned professional.

She had her first professional win at the 2012 Women's Australian Open in a playoff with a birdie on the second extra hole, defeating Julieta Granada, Stacy Lewis, Brittany Lincicome, So Yeon Ryu and Hee Kyung Seo.

With a few more wins in between, her most recent win was at the 2021 Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions (now Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions) in a playoff with a birdie on the first extra hole, against Danielle Kang.

Her best major finish was the 2022 Chevron Championship, where she finished tied for second place, against Jennifer Kupcho, losing by two strokes.

On December 11, 2021, she tied the knot with Johnny DelPrete, her longtime partner. The couple declared in August 2023 that she was expecting their first child, which is expected in February 2024 and on February 3, Greyson John DelPrete, a son, was born to Korda.
