Facing as a right-hander from the Kelvin Grove End, 74 meters down the ground. 59 meters square on the leg side and 69 meters towards point. 11 sixes in the last game were hit towards the short boundary. 7 of them would have been caught on the longer boundary. This was a fresh pitch the last game. Same track again. The spikes go in from the bowlers around the popping crease. Doesn't happen towards the centre. Surface is quite firm underneath, might be tacky and sticky. Pitch has had a good sprinkling of water, would have compacted the pitch a little bit. It might be just a bit tricky initially, won't come onto the bat. Will be much better batting under lights, reports Mike Haysman.

Rashid Khan (MI Cape Town captain): Yeah I think catching is very important in T20s. Last game it was fielding which gave us confidence. Today before the game we had a discussion of how good effort in the field gives confidence, especially catching. With the sun there, it was one of the best catches from Brevis. Reeza is the most experienced here. As I said earlier, it's important to contribute in the field. The ground fielding was amazing as well. Yeah I think finishing with a bonus points it's very important. The way Rassie and Rickelton is batting over the last five six games, it's great for the team. Well you know to be honest, we had a tough couple of years as a team. We talked about making sure to do the basics right and field well. I feel the way everyone stood up, that's the beauty of this year. We haven't been dependant on one batter or a bowler. It's the contribution of all the players. The crowd came in numbers which gave us that extra energy. Thanks to them for supporting us.

Aiden Markram (Sunrisers Eastern Cape captain): Yeah another one unfortunately. Again got to give credit to the Cape Town team. A day we wanna forget, address it and move forward. I mean you don't wanna give any excuses. We weren't able to put pressure on the bowlers. The wicket was a bit too paced but nowhere close to what we made it look like scoring 100 odd. Yeah always nice to play there, hopefully we can put on a good show for the crowd which has been quite epic.

Corbin Bosch has been adjudged Player Of The Match for his 4 for 19! Here's what he has to say: (On the caught and bowled) I'll be honest, I didn't see it for long. Just one of those days where everything went to plan, super grateful, Brevi took a magnificent catch to start. The crowd has been absolute incredible, I heard it's four sold-out games here now. So supportive, they really watch the cricket. Glad I could put out a performance for them. We just went with various discussions to different batters, nothing different, one of those days where everything went my way.

The target of 108 was never going to challenge the MI Cape Town but not many would have predicted them to chase this down as comfortably as they did in the end. It looked as if they were batting on a different surface so it will be safe to say that the MI bowlers were on a different level today bowling the Sunrisers out for a paltry 107 runs. Rassie van der Dussen and Ryan Rickelton came out all guns blazing and there was no looking back from there on.

Rassie smashed a four and a six in the opening over of Marco Jansen while Rickelton got going with a couple of exquisite shots. Rassie continued the onslaught in the next over and boundaries just kept flowing from the blade of both batters. Rickelton took the charge in the final over of the powerplay as they raced to 70 in the first six overs. The match was sealed by then and it required something extraordinary from the Sunrisers bowlers to claw their way back from that hopeless situation.

The openers decided to shut shop and take their time a bit, ensuring they didn't lose a single wicket while chasing down the target. Rickelton went on to complete yet another half-century as he smacked Andile Simelane for a massive six and a four in the 11th over to seal the deal for MI. This also was the third hundred-run partnership between Rassie and Rickelton who is having a season to remember. The Sunrisers Eastern Cape will have a lot to ponder on. It will be the Paarl Royals and the MI Cape Town who will be playing the first qualifier.
