Austin Cindric competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series. He drives the no.2 Ford Mustang Dark Horse at Team Penske, as of February 2025. Cindric is a NASCAR champion who won the 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series championship. He has raced previously in Global RallyCross Championship, Road to Indy and Supercars. Austin Cindric is the winner of the 2022 Daytona 500 race. He won the race in his first full-time season at Penske. Austin Cindric placed 11th in the 2024 driver's championship with 2247 points to his name. He was awarded the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year award.

As of February 2025, Austin Cindric has two race wins and 22 Top-10s to his name in the Cup Series. The driver has been racing in the Cup Series for four years competing in 115 races. Cindric was born in Columbus, Ohio in the United States on September 2, 1998.

He used to be a ball letterman at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology before getting promoted to the position of the President of Team Penske in 2006. However as of February 2025, Cindric decided to step down as the overall leader of the Pennske organization but would continue to serve as the president of the IndyCar program, as per ESPN.
