On Fridays, families go grocery shopping, and on Saturdays, residents who are ill receive special meals. On Sundays, neighborhood children can participate in gameday activities.

McManus was voted the Week 15 NFL Community MVP by the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) for his outstanding efforts. The NFLPA will contribute $10,000 to a charity of his choosing. In the past, McManus has taken home the weekly NFLPA prize. He has aided numerous groups since launching Project McManus. Through literacy, resources, scholarships, and educational programming, the organization seeks to empower underprivileged and at-risk kids.

"My foundation and I pride ourselves on making an impact for those in need, especially during the holiday season," McManus said upon receiving the honor. "Our mission remains steadfast -- leave our communities in a better place than they were before." McManus has thus far contributed $12,000 toward the rent and mortgage of two low-income households. Also on game day, he invited 20 children from the Colorado Boys and Girls Club. (via USA Today)
