Washington-born football safety Bishard “Budda” Baker was a second-round pick (36) in the 2017 NFL Draft. In his rookie year with the Arizona Cardinals, he recorded 58 solo tackles earning a spot in PFWA All-Rookie Team. Baker started all 16 games in the 2019 season putting his career high numbers. Having 104 solo tackles, he was the NFL solo tackles leader of the 2019 season.

Baker attended Bellevue High School and could play safety and running back as well. Being rated as a four-star recruit he was the Seattle Times High School Athlete of the Year as a senior. Baker chose to be in his home state and committed to the University of Washington playing for the Huskies. He was a starter as a freshman and recorded 80 tackles starting all 14 games. Baker was named a Freshman All-American by USA Today in 2014.
