Cam Hart, born on December 5, 2000, is an American football player who graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a major in political science. He declared for the 2024 NFL draft after playing five seasons with the Fighting Irish. He attended the Our Lady of Good Counsel High School and was rated as a four-star prospect coming out og high school by ESPN.
The 6’3, 202 pounds’ Baltimore native started his collegiate football career with the University of Notre Dame. However, he transitioned to the defensive side of football after joining the Fighting Irish and started playing as the cornerback. In his freshman season in 2019, Hart could play only three games before enduring a season-ending shoulder injury.
His tall stature combined with his athletic build gives him the advantage to take on wide receivers, a position he originally played for the Good Counsel. In the sophomore season or the COVID season, Hart appeared in nine games bagging two pass breakups and three tackles.
Hart became a full-time starter in his junior season in 2021 playing all 13 games at cornerback and recorded 36 tackles, six assists, five pass breakups and two interceptions. In 2022 as a senior, Clark managed 568 snaps, 25 tackles and broke up four passes. In his fifth and final year as a senior, Hart returned as the team captain and concluded the season with some impressive stats.
He saw action in 12 games while playing 572 snaps and recording 21 tackles, four pass break ups and three tackles for loss in 2023. Hart concluded his Notre Dame career with 90 tackles, 17 pass break ups, 10.5 tackles for loss and two interceptions. In December 2023, Hart announced he will be preparing for the 2024 NFL Draft.
