Courtland Sutton is a professional American football player who as of 2024 plays as a wide receiver for the Denver Broncos in the NFL. Sutton was drafted by the Denver Broncos with the 40th pick in the second round of the 2018 NFL draft. Sutton concluded his debut season with nine starts, 42 receptions for 704 yards and four touchdowns. In 2019, Sutton started 14 of the 16 games and hauled a total of 72 receptions for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns. Sutton suffered a season-ending injury in Week 2 of the 2020 season. In 2021, Sutton extended his contract with the Broncos for four years. In 15 games, Sutton recorded two touchdowns and 64 receptions for 829 yards during the 2022 season. In 2016, Sutton was named to the preseason first-team Athlon Sports American Athletic All-Conference, 2016 First-Team All-American Athletic Conference and the Biletnikoff Award and Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award preseason Watch Lists. As a junior, Sutton recorded a total of 68 receptions for 1,085 yards and 12 touchdowns and after the season ended, he declared that he would forgo his senior season to enter the 2018 NFL draft. Sutton did his high school graduation from Brenham High School where as a senior he was named to the first-team All-District as a tight end and second-team as a safety.
