Derek Dallas Carr is an American football quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, as of the 2024 NFL season. The Oakland Raiders selected Carr as the 36th overall pick in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played for the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders from 2014 to 2022 and has been with the New Orleans Saints since 2023. According to Spotrac, he signed a four-year contract with the Saints valued at $150 million.
As a collegiate athlete, Carr played football at California State University, Fresno, from 2009 to 2013. During his time there, he recorded 12,843 yards, 113 touchdowns, and 24 interceptions, as per Sports Reference. In 2013, he won the Sammy Baugh Trophy and was named the Mountain West (MW) Offensive Player of the Year twice in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
