Colorado-born football centre Drake Johnathan Nugent played college football for Michigan and Stanford. Nugent’s career picked up pace in his junior year where he started in all 12 games. He was named All-Pac-12 honourable mention by the league coaches for consecutive years in 2021 and 2022. After appearing in 27 games starting 24 of them over three seasons, Nugent committed to Michigan before the 2023 season.

Nugent started in all 15 games in his debut year with Michigan. He earned the Offensive Player of the Week five times in the season earning a place in All-Big Ten 2023.
