Evan McPherson is an American football placekicker for the Cincinnati Bengals as of the 2024 NFL season. The Bengals selected him as the 149th pick in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. McPherson played in 16 games as a rookie and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. The NFL record for the most consecutive 50+ yard field goals made by a single player in a season was also set by him, with his 12 combined regular season and playoff 50+ yard field goals. In the 2022 season, he played in all 16 games and became the franchise's longest-field goal scorer. The following season, he played in 17 games. In 2024, McPherson extended his contract with the Bengals for three years.

McPherson attended the University of Florida for his collegiate football. In his debut season there, he was named a True Freshman All-American by 247Sports. In 2019, he played in all 13 games and was named to the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll. In his junior season, he was named a Lou Groza Award semifinalist (according to the university's official website). McPherson joined Fort Payne High School for high school. He played as a punter at Fort Payne. In 2017, he made the first-team All-State.
