George Kittle

The San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle was born in Madison, Wisconsin. The San Francisco 49ers took him in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL draft with their 146th pick. He has played eight seasons in the NFL as of 2024. He was ranked 2nd by various executives, scouts, and coaches in the top 10 cornerbacks survey done by ESPN in July 2024. The 6 ft 4 tight end attended Iowa City West High School in Iowa City before moving to Cedar Falls High School in Cedar Falls. He then committed to playing college football at the University of Iowa, where he played for 4 years, from 2012 to 2016. After getting redshirted in his true freshman season in 2012, he went on to play in 25 games for the Hawkeyes in the next four years with the team. He finished his collegiate career by accumulating 483 receptions for 737 yards, while also getting into the endzone on ten occasions.

The five-time pro bowler has been a staple of consistency since entering the league in 2017. The two-time First-team All-Pro who only started seven games in his rookie season, still went on to rack up 515 yards that year. Since his sophomore campaign in 2018, the two-time Second-team All-Pro has had three 1k receiving yards seasons as of 2024. His best statistical year came in 2018 when he managed to haul in 88 catches for 1,377 yards. Kittle’s best year scoring touchdowns came in 2022 when he got into the endzone 11 times in 15 games. Kittle’s amazing play has earned him the respect among his peers as he has been voted in the NFL Top 100 every year except since 2018.
