Based in Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Colts are a professional American football team. The Colts play in the American Football Conference (AFC) South division of the NFL. The franchise was originally called the Baltimore Colts when it was created in Baltimore in 1953. Lucas Oil Stadium has hosted Colts games since the 2008 season. Previously, the team played at the RCA Dome for more than two decades (1984–2007). The NFL Scouting Combine has been hosted by the Colts since 1987.

The Baltimore Colts participated in two Super Bowl games, winning Super Bowl V (1970) over the Dallas Cowboys and losing to the New York Jets in Super Bowl III (1968). Since moving to Indianapolis in 1984, the Colts have made 16 playoff appearances, won two conference titles, and participated in two Super Bowl games: they lost to the New Orleans Saints in Super Bowl XLIV (2009) and defeated the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI (2006).
