The Philadelphia-born tight end, Jonnu Andre Smith is a professional American football player for the Miami Dolphins. Smith was drafted by the Tennessee Titans with the 100th pick in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft. Smith recorded 18 receptions for 157 yards and two touchdowns during his rookie season. During the 2018 season, Smith sustained a season-ending MCL injury but finished the season with three touchdowns and 20 receptions for 258 yards. Smith concluded the 2019 season with 35 receptions for 439 yards and three touchdowns. He had 14 starts during the 2020 season. In 2021, Smith signed a four-year deal with the New England Patriots. During his second season with the Patriots, Smith recorded 27 receptions for 245 yards and a fumble. In 2023, In return for a 2023 seventh-round selection pick, Smith was traded to the Falcons. In February 2024, Smith was released by the Falcons and he signed with the Miami Dolphins.

For collegiate football, Smith was at Florida International University. Smith concluded his freshman season with 39 receptions for 388 yards and two touchdowns. During his sophomore season, he earned First-Team All-Conference USA honors and recorded eight touchdowns and 61 receptions for 710 yards. Smith was named to the John Mackey Award Preseason and Midseason Watch List during his junior year. Smith started 11 games during his senior season and was named A Second-Team, All-C-USA honoree and second-team, all-conference selection. Smith was named to the 2017 Senior Bowl. He played high school football at West Port High School.
