Josh Hines-Allen is a professional American football player who plays as a defensive end for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL, as of 2024. Hines-Allen was drafted by the Jaguars with the 7th pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft. By the end of his first season with the Jags, Hines-Allen was selected to his first Pro Bowl on the back of a performance that saw him accumulate 10.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, and 2 forced fumbles. Hines-Allen’s sophomore campaign got halted to just 8 games due to him suffering a knee injury. He finished the year with 2.5 sacks and 2 tackles for loss. His next two seasons saw him rack up 7 or more sacks in each season. However, Hines-Allen’s breakout year came in 2023, when he posted career-high numbers across all defensive metrics: 17.5 sacks, 17 tackles for loss, and 1 interception.
