Keenan Allen is an American football wide receiver for the Chicago Bears in the 2024 NFL season. The San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers selected Allen as 76th pick in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Before joining the Bears in 2024, Allen spent a decade with the Chargers and broke the Chargers' record for most receiving yards by a wide receiver. His NFL career consists of a lengthy list of achievements and accolades, including the 2017 NFL Comeback Player of the Year and six Pro Bowl selections.

Allen's football career began at Northern Guilford High School in his hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina. Allen played football and basketball while also being a track and field player. After being rated as a five-star prospect coming out of high school, Allen committed to the University of California, Berkeley where played for the Golden Bears from 2010 to 2012. His best year at Cal came during his sophomore season, when he accumulated 1,343 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns and received First-team All Pac-12 honors in 2011.

As of December 2024, Keenan Allen has appeared in five postseason games, starting in four. While he got his first playoff exposure in his rookie season, Allen had to wait another five years to make the postseason again in 2018. His third and latest trip to the playoffs came in the 2022 season.

Keenan Allen Playoffs Win-Loss Record

As of December 2024, Keenan Allen’s playoff record stands at 2-3 in the games he has appeared in. Allen’s first-ever playoff game came against the Cincinnati Bengals in the wild-card round of the 2013 season. Allen had 2 receptions for 21 yards in that game, which the Chargers went on to win 27-10. His second game came against their divisional rival Denver Broncos in the Divisional Round, where he had a spectacular game catching 6 passes for 142 yards and scoring 2 touchdowns. But, the Chargers still came out on the losing end by a score of 17-24 (via Pro Football Reference).

After a five-year hiatus, Keenan once again reached the postseason in 2018, playing two games that year. He had a quiet game against the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Wild Card Round, where he was limited to just 4 receptions for 37 yards. However, the Chargers came out victorious in that matchup, 23-17. Allen had 75 receiving yards in the Divisional Round against the New England Patriots, where the Chargers lost 28-41 loss (via Pro Football Reference).

Allen’s most recent postseason appearance came in 2022, when the Chargers faced the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2022 AFC Wild Card Round. While he was targeted 13 times in the game, Allen could only come down with 6 catches in that instance.
