Keenan Allen is an American football wide receiver for the Chicago Bears in the 2024 NFL season. The San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers selected Allen as 76th pick in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Before joining the Bears in 2024, Allen spent a decade with the Chargers and broke the Chargers' record for most receiving yards by a wide receiver. His NFL career consists of a lengthy list of achievements and accolades, including the 2017 NFL Comeback Player of the Year and six Pro Bowl selections.
Allen's football career began at Northern Guilford High School in his hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina. Allen played football and basketball while also being a track and field player. After being rated as a five-star prospect coming out of high school, Allen committed to the University of California, Berkeley where played for the Golden Bears from 2010 to 2012. His best year at Cal came during his sophomore season, when he accumulated 1,343 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns and received First-team All Pac-12 honors in 2011.
