The Buffalo Bills drafted Coleman with the 33rd pick in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft. The first-round selection, which belonged to the Bills with the 28th pick, was traded down a few positions.
Coleman chose to play collegiate football and basketball at Michigan State University. During his freshman season, Coleman appeared in ten games and recorded a touchdown and seven receptions for 50 yards. In 2022, Coleman was named to the third-team All-Big Ten. Coleman transferred to Florida State University in 2023, where he started all 12 games and recorded 50 receptions for yards and 11 touchdowns.
