Lamar Jackson is an American football quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, as of the 2024 NFL season. He already has two MVPs to his name along with four Prow Bowls as of January 2025. He led the Baltimore Ravens to the best record in the league last season with 13 wins and only 4 losses in the 2023 season. In 2023, he signed a five-year contract extension with the team worth $260 million. In 2024, Jackson had a career-high 4,172 passing yards, and 41 touchdowns.

In December 2024, he became the all-time rushing leader as a quarterback bringing his career total to 6,173 yards. Back in 2023, Jackson broke Michael Vick’s record after he surpassed the 5000 rushing yards mark in the fewest number of games (82) ever needed by a quarterback. Jackson played for the Louisville Cardinals from 2015 to 2017. As per Sports Reference, he recorded over 9,000 passing yards, 69 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions. He also earned several honors, including the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, and Walter Camp Award, all in 2016. During his high school years, he attended Boynton Beach Community High School, where he played football.

He was a talented football player even when he was just in high school and Jackson threw for 2,263 yards, had 31 touchdown passes, and had a pass completion percentage of 47.1. However, Jackson is a dual-threat quarterback who can both pass and run with the football. In high school, he rushed for a total of 1,624 yards, had 192 carries, and had 22 rushing touchdowns.

Jackson was only a three-star recruit coming out of high school. In 2014, he was named Lou Groza Palm Beach County High School Player of the Year according to the Lousiville Cardinals website. He was named the No.8 dual-threat quarterback in the country by 247Sports.
