Malik Nabers at Dallas Cowboys v New York Giants

Malik Nabers is an American football wide receiver for the New York Giants of the NFL. Before the NFL, he attended LSU where Nabers earned unanimous All-American honors in 2023 and left college as LSU's all-time leader in receiving yards. He was selected sixth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Giants. In his rookie offseason, Nabers gained attention for his confidence, even proposing a friendly bet with former LSU teammate Jayden Daniels on who would be named offensive rookie of the year. Nabers signed a fully guaranteed four-year contract worth $29.9 million in May 2024 and switched to the iconic number 1 jersey for the Giants, making him the first player to wear it since 1935.

Growing up in Louisiana, the wideout attended two different high schools, first at Ovey Comeaux High School in Lafayette, Louisiana which is where he played the first three years of his high school football. For his senior year, he transferred to Southside High School in his hometown area of Youngsville. Nabers spent three years playing college football at Louisiana State University (LSU) on the LSU Tigers football team. He started his freshman year in 2021 and although he had not played his final year of high school football there seemed to be no rust in his game. He was handed six starts as a freshman while playing in 11 games in which he caught 28 receptions for 417 yards and 4 touchdowns earning Freshman All-SEC honors from SEC coaches. Continuing his stellar play in his sophomore year in 2022, Nabers took his game to the next level. After featuring in 14 games in the year, Nabers finished first in the SEC with 72 receptions and second in the conference with 1,017 receiving yards. He also added 3 touchdowns while also winning the 2023 Citrus Bowl Game MVP. Nabers’ 2023 season as a junior was his best season of college football. He earned First-team All-SEC and Unanimous All-American honors after putting up a strong season starting 13 games. He was by and large the top wide receiver in the country in 2023. He posted a total of 89 catches for 1,569 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.
