McKinnley Jackson is a gridiron football player who plays the defensive tackle position. Jackson is a senior at Texas A&M University having been there from 2020. He was born in Mississippi and attended George County High School in his native state. His stats in high school were highly impressive as he finished with over 300 tackles, including 135 for loss of yards. He also added 34 sacks, and 16 forced fumbles among other achievements.

Despite having offers from Universities such as Alabama and LSU, Jackson decided to join Texas A&M to play for the Aggies football team. Jackson featured in 10 games as a freshman making one start and appeared in 10 games again as a sophomore. In his junior and senior seasons, he was the team captain throughout the seasons.

A couple of things that stand out while scouting Jackson is that he is aggressive off the line of scrimmage making him quick to get off, especially for his size. He also possesses good upper body strength and has the ability to split the double teams. On the flip side, he is somewhat undersized with smaller arm length which can cause problems against taller linemen. Beverly McDowell is the mother of McKinnley Jackson. There is not a whole lot of information available about her but what is known is that she has had her fair share of troubles in her life.

McDowell was on the wrong side of the law when her son was in third grade. She did time for eight months in prison for forgery.

When Jackson was in college as a sophomore, his mother was once again taken in for forgery and drug charges.

Jackson’s father, Damarcus Jackson was also an athlete in his high school days playing both football as well as basketball. Jackson’s father, though, has encountered more arrests than his mother and has spent more time behind bars.

His first instance came when McDowell was pregnant with McKinnley in her seventh month. His second incident came when their son was only 18 months old, and then again when McKinnley went to first grade. All three times it was due to drug-related charges.

His father was once again arrested in 2018 but this time he was going away for a much longer duration of 12 years for possession of a controlled substance. His sentence was further extended by another 15 years the following April for delivery as well as possession of a controlled substance.
