New Jersey Generals 1983-85
The New Jersey Generals were a professional American football team that played in the United States Football League (USFL) from 1983 to 1985. The team was originally owned by businessman J. Walter Duncan and played their home games at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The Generals were known for their high-powered offense led by quarterback Doug Flutie, who joined the team in 1985. The team also had notable players such as Herschel Walker, who played for the Generals from 1983 to 1985, and Jim Kelly, who played for the team in 1984 before leaving to play for the Buffalo Bills in the NFL.
