About 2024-25 New York Jets Football Schedule
The New York Jets are tied with the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL for the longest playoff drought in North American professional sports. Their last postseason appearance came in 2010 when they reached the AFC Championship game. They hoped to break this trend last season when they made a blockbuster trade for the four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers. But as the football gods would have it, Rodgers got injured in the first regular season game and all went downhill from there.
This is the fourth year for Jets under head coach Robert Salah. He has made this team’s defense into a top 5 unit, however the offensive side of the ball is where the problem lies for gang green. If the Jets don’t make the playoffs with a healthy Aaron Rodgers in 2024, Salah might be shown an exit door.
This is a playoff or bust season for New York as Aaron Rodgers is already in the twilight of his career and the team’s defense has been as good as it has ever been. Fans cannot contain their excitement to watch Rodgers on the field after the New York Jets schedule was released on 15th May.
New York Jets Key Games 2024–25
The New York Jets football schedule revealed some interesting matchups for the 2024–25 season. They will be facing teams from AFC South and NFC West. All the divisional games are important, but we will focus on some other matchups that the Jets need to target.
Week 7 - October 20, 2024 - New York Jets @ Pittsburgh Steelers
It is no secret that Mike Tomlin’s team always finds a way to hover around the wildcard spot during the later part of the season. A win here might come in handy for the Jets at the end of the season when these two teams will be fighting for the wildcard spot unless the Jets win the AFC East by miracle. These two teams are evenly matched when it comes to the defensive side of the ball. However, New York has an edge in the offensive department due to having a future HOF'er in Rodgers under center.
Week 10 - November 10, 2024 - New York Jets @ Arizona Cardinals
The Jets will be facing the 4th worst team from the 2023 season in week 11 when they go to the desert. However, the 2024 Cardinals team will have generational wide receiver talent in Marvin Harrison Jr at their disposal along with a healthy Kyler Murray. You can expect fireworks in this matchup if everything clicks for Rodgers and Murray.
Where do the New York Jets play their games?
The New York Jets have played all their home games at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey since 2010. They share their home stadium with New York Giants. They have previously played in Shea Stadium, Giants stadium and Polo Grounds.
What channels have New York Jets games?
Most of the afternoon games on the New York Jets schedule will be covered by CBS, while a few remaining ones will be aired on FOX. The New York Jets football schedule has a staggering six-night game in it.
That is the appeal of four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers. Those games will be broadcast on ESPN, ABC, Prime Video, ABC, NBC and Peacock. The Jets will also face the Minnesota Vikings in an international game which will be played in London, U.K. and will be exclusively aired on NFL Network.
