New York Jets Roster

The New York Jets are a professional American football team based in the New York metropolitan area, competing in the NFL in its AFC East division. After trading for four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers last season, they had hoped to change the direction of this franchise but as the football gods would have it, Rodgers got injured in the first regular season game and all went downhill from there. Even though the team's defense has vaulted into one of the best units since Robert Salah took over, the offensive side of the ball is where the problem lies for Gang Green.
Rodgers, who is in the twilight of his career, will be eager to get one more shot at the prestigious Lombardi trophy with one of the best dual-threat rushers in Breece Hall as the primary workhorse out of the backfield. Aaron would also have two 1000-yard receivers in Wilson and newly acquired Williams to lean on in the passing game along with his former Packers teammate Lazard. The offensive line which was a major issue in 2023 (allowed 64 sacks tied with the Titans for fourth-most) got completely reshaped in the offseason. The Jets signed and traded for Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses respectively in the offseason before selecting Fashanu in the 1st round of the 2024 draft. Gang Green also agreed on a two-year deal with Simpson. The only starters returning on the offensive line from last season are Vera-Tucker and Tippmann.
As it often happens, an elite unit loses some of the major players every offseason and the same happened with New York. A team that ranked 4th best in defense last year (via FOX Sports), saw notable stars in Huff and Franklin-Myers leave in free agency. However, getting Reddick (via trade) to pair up with Johnson and Williams on the defensive line has the potential to pay huge dividends for the Jets. Mosley and Quincy, who form a terrific linebacker duo are mainly tasked with covering big-body tight ends and keeping an eye on the opposing QB while the elite cornerback trio of Gardner-Reed-Carter lock down receivers. Greg, Morstead and Hennessy bring a steady presence to the special teams' group as usual.
Robert Salah is mostly bringing the same staff as last season going into year 2 with Aaron Rodgers.
