NFL Draft picks salary: Round-by-round analysis

One of the most important things to note is that the salary of the rookies vary depending on where they are drafted. And the salary is locked. This process has been followed in the NFL since the 2011 Collective Bargaining Agreement.

All the rookies sign four-year deals. It is only after the third year of the rookie contract, extensions for these players will begin. The teams will have the chance to exercise a fifth-year option on the first round picks, which will turn them into a 5-year deal.

The salary of the players is straightforward - higher the pick, higher the salary. Lower the pick, lower the salary.
