Roquan Smith is a linebacker in the NFL who plays for the Baltimore Ravens. Born on April 8, 1997, in Mount Vernon, Georgia, Smith went to Macon County High School in the same state. He then went to the University of Georgia for his higher education and played football for the Georgia Bulldogs football team. After spending three years with the Bulldogs, Smith earned the 2017 SEC Defensive Player of the Year as a senior. He was also named to the First-team All-SEC in the same year while winning the Butkus Award as the best linebacker in college.

After deciding to forgo his senior year, Smith entered the 2018 NFL Draft and was selected with the eighth overall pick by the Chicago Bears. He played four seasons with the Bears before signing a $100 million contract with the Ravens in 2023. In his time with the Ravens, Smith has recorded 398 total tackles, five sacks and three interceptions as per ESPN.
