Who are Sam Howell's Parents?

Sam Howell is the current starting quarterback for the Washington Commanders franchise of the NFL. Born on September 16, 2000, the 23-year-old is now well into his second season as a professional football player. Howell entered the NFL as a fifth-round draftee in the 2022 NFL Draft even though he was expected to be selected much earlier.

After starting his rookie season as the Commander’s third-string quarterback, Howell got the chance to start and play in the last regular season game of the season in week 18 after the team was already eliminated from playoff contention.

As luck would have it, Bruce Howell fell in love with Han (Sam Howell’s paternal grandmother), the Korean daughter of Myong Sok Park and Kum Ok Yang. Bruce and Han later settled in North Carolina but with the sudden demise of Howell Sr., Han was left to raise both of her children alone in a new country. Not one to back down from adversity, Han pulled through the tough days and was always seen supporting her son, Duke and then later her grandson, Sam Howell during their college football days.
