Steele Chambers played his college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes and was the linebacker for the team. He started his college football career in 2019 and played for five seasons before declaring for the 2024 NFL draft. In his early days, Chambers attended Blessed Trinity Catholic High School and played as a linebacker and a running back. He is a former four-star recruit who committed to play his college football for Ohio State.

For his efforts in the 2023 season, Chambers was named to Third-team All-Big Ten in 2023. Chambers led the Buckeyes with 83 tackles in 2023 and is one of the more underrated prospects coming into the draft.
