Samaje Perine is an American football running back who is playing his eighth season in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs as of the 2024 NFL season. He was picked by the Washington Redskins in the fourth round as the 114th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He began playing football at Hendrickson High School where he was a three-year starter at the running back position according to the Sooners website. During his senior year, he rushed for 1,492 yards and 12 touchdowns. Perine was rated a four-star recruit by major sports outlets.
