American football quarterback Tuanigamanuolepola Donny Tagovailoa plays for the Miami Dolphins as of October 2024. He was a first-round pick (5th overall) in the 2020 NFL Draft. He saw regular action in his rookie year starting nine games and going with a record of 6-3. He completed 186 passes for 1,814 yards and 11 touchdowns that year. In his third year in the NFL, Tagovailoa led the league with 8.9 yards per attempt (Y/A). His career-high numbers came in the 2023 season when he started all 17 games in the regular season. Tagovailoa completed 388 passes and led the league with 4,624 yards in the 2023 season. He made it to his first Pro Bowl that year. Tagovailoa committed to the University of Alabama playing for the Crimson Tide from 2017 to 2019. He played nine games in his freshman year having 49 completed attempts for 636 yards and 11 touchdowns. Tagovailoa completed his college career with 33 appearances for 474 complete passes for 7,442 yards and 87 touchdowns.

Tagovailoa had a sprained ankle in the November of 2020 season. He missed their game against the New York Jets in Week 12 of the season.

Chest Rib Fracture (2021)

In the 2021 season, Tagovailoa fractured his rib in their game against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2. He had to miss the next three games following the tests that season.

Hang finger Injury (2021)

Tagovailoa fractured his finger in November 2021, missing out on the Week 9 game.

Head Cranial Concussion Grade 1 (2022)

In September 2022, Tagovailoa suffered a Cranial Concussion and had to stretch out in the Bengals' Week 4 loss.

Head Cranial Concussion Grade 3 (2022)

Months after suffering a concussion, Tagovailoa had a grade 3 concussion. He did not clear the concussion protocol, missing out on the remainder of the 2022 season.

Shoulder (2023)

Due to a shoulder injury, Tagovailoa left during Week 17's fourth quarter. However the next Sunday, he was back to play.

Head Cranial Concussion Grade 2 (2024)

In Week 2, 2024, Tua was hit during a run and sustained a concussion at the end of the third quarter against the Bills. He had to be put on injury reserve.

During the SEC Championship Game versus Georgia, Tagovailoa sustained a left ankle injury. To fix his ankle, he had surgery.

Leg Quad Strain (2018)

In November 2018 Tagovailoa sustained a quad injury in the third quarter against Mississippi State.

Knee Patella Sprain (2018)

During the Missouri game on October 13, Tagovailoa slipped on a play in the third quarter and subsequently injured his knee. He was free for the upcoming match.

Hand Finger Fracture (2018)

During the Missouri game on October 13, Tagovailoa slipped on a play in the third quarter and subsequently injured his knee. He was free for the upcoming match.

Inguinal Hip Strain (2019)
