Tevita Tuliʻakiʻono Tuipulotu Mosese Vaʻhae Fehoko Faletau Vea is a professional American nose tackle for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted Vea as their 12th pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Vea began his collegiate career with the University of Washington in 2014. Vea joined the team of the University of Washington in time for the start of the 2014 fall practice season. As a freshman in 2015, he played in all 13 games and saw his first college action in the season opener at Boise State. As a sophomore in 2016, Vea made three tackles and a pass breakup in the Husky win at Utah and earned the team's Defensive Player of the Week award.
Vea’s breakthrough year was in 2017 when he was named first-team All-Pac-12 and won the Pac-12 Pat Tillman Defensive Player of the Year Award. Prior to this, Vea attended Milpitas High School, where he began his football career. As a senior in high school, Vea recorded 89 tackles and eight sacks while rushing for 578 yards and 11 touchdowns. Due to his amazing performances, he was named to the MaxPreps All-NorCal first team and its Division II all-state first team the same year.
