At the 95th Academy Awards/ Oscars 2023, India received three nominations.
On March 12, 2023, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) will hold the 95th Academy Awards ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles to honor the movie released in 2022. The Oscars will be televised in the U.S. by ABC and directed by Glenn Weiss, who will also serve as one of the producers alongside Ricky Kirshner.
Jimmy Kimmel, a comedian and late-night talk show host is set to host the show for the third time, following his appearances at the 89th and 90th ceremonies in 2017 and 2018.

The hit Telugu-language film RRR's track "Naatu Naatu" has received a nomination for Best Original Song at the forthcoming Academy Awards. That makes it the first Indian feature film to receive a nomination outside the Best International Film category. The song has already won a Golden Globe and a Critics' Choice Award and has been well-received at various award ceremonies.
In the same category, the song will compete against those from renowned artists like Lady Gaga and Rihanna. AR Rahman was the last Indian musician to win an Oscar for a film's music, which was in 2009. Shaunak Sen's documentary "All That Breathes" has received a nomination for the Best Documentary Feature Film category, alongside "All the Beauty and the Bloodshed," "Fire of Love," "A House Made of Splinters," and "Navalny."
Produced by Shaunak Sen, Aman Mann, and Teddy Leifer under the banner of Rise Films, "All That Breathes" is a documentary film released in 2022. The movie tracks the journey of two siblings, Mohammad Saud and Nadeem Shehzad, who dedicate themselves to rescuing and nursing injured birds in India.
