If Paramount Network is part of your cable package, you can watch Yellowstone there or on demand from your cable company while it's airing. The first season ran from June to August 2018, the second from June to August 2019, and the third from June to August 2020.

From November 2021 to January 2022, the fourth and most recent season of the show aired. Season five of Yellowstone premiered on November 13, 2022.

What is the Yellowstone series about?

Yellowstone, written and co-created by Taylor Sheridan, is a contemporary Montana drama starring Kevin Costner as John Dutton Jr., a patriarch of the Dutton family who manages a sizable ranch and vast amounts of land close to the titular national park and Native American reservations. The plot revolves around the various political ploys used to keep the Dutton family in power.

The various Dutton family members who live on John's ranch complicate things. The conflict between John Dutton and the Native Americans who live nearby on the reservation is further complicated by the presence of John's youngest son, Kayce (Luke Grimes), a former Navy SEAL who is married to a Native American woman and has a child with him. Then there is John's son Jamie (Wes Bentley), a lawyer and aspiring politician who aids John in exerting control over Montana's socio-political climate. Beth (Kelly Reilly), a financier with a drug problem, is also John's daughter.

Yellowstone currently has five seasons. The show's creator, Taylor Sheridan, wrote and directed all nine of the season's nine episodes, as well as all ten of the third and fourth seasons' episodes. On January 2, 2022, the Season 4 finale aired. The fifth season of Yellowstone debuted on November 13, 2022.

Where can I watch season five of Yellowstone?

On Sunday, November 13, Yellowstone Season 5 made its Paramount Network debut with the episode "One Hundred Years is Nothing." Each episode will air every Sunday until the finale and can only be seen live on the Paramount Network with the appropriate cable subscription. Episodes will be offered for sale on iTunes, Amazon Video, and Vudu after they have aired. The entire season can also be purchased on iTunes, Amazon Video, and Vudu in advance of its debut for viewers without access to the Paramount network.

Despite Seasons 1-4 streaming on Peacock, Season 5 won't be made available to watch there during its run. All of the episodes from Season 5 will be accessible on Peacock after it has finished airing. Fans of Yellowstone will also enjoy the fact that this season will consist of two chapters and a total of 14 episodes, as opposed to the previous season's 10 episodes.

Season 4 ended on a more subdued note than previous seasons' killer cliffhangers, which left the fate of the Dutton family in limbo.

And finally, since this is Yellowstone, it will be filled with all the characteristics that define the Western subgenre. There will still be cowboys riding horses through the mountains, rendezvouses in stables, roping lessons, and other elements that helped make the show popular in the first place. Taylor Sheridan, the creator and author of Yellowstone, has made suggestions that the park is nearing its end and that we may be seeing the beginning of the end.

What is Yellowstone?

The first season of Taylor Sheridan and John Linson's neo-western drama television series Yellowstone debuted on the Paramount Network on June 20, 2018. Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Wes Bentley, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Gil Birmingham are the series' main actors. A big cattle ranch, an Indian reservation, and land developers share borders, and the conflicts along those borders are the focus of the episodes of the series.

Sheridan started working on the series in 2013, having recently given up acting and started writing screenplays. Sheridan set the series in Montana and began writing the first scripts in Livingston after having lived in rural areas of states like Texas and Wyoming. When Sheridan first proposed the show to HBO, the network declined. The Dutton family, who own the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, also known as "the Yellowstone," the largest ranch in Montana, is the subject of the television show.

The central theme of the story is the family drama that takes place at the ranch and in the nearby Broken Rock Indian Reservation, national park, and development projects. Yellowstone, Paramount Network's debut scripted series, received the go-ahead in May 2017. A ten-episode first season was given a series order by Paramount. Sheridan was supposed to be the series' writer, director, and executive producer.

Following a five-year agreement signed by Sheridan with Viacom, CBS, and MTV Entertainment Group, the prequel series 1883 made its debut on December 19, 2021, on Paramount+. A second prequel and spin-off, 1923, will center on a new Dutton family generation during the Western Expansion, Prohibition, and the Great Depression, which in Montana began a decade earlier. The present day is depicted on the Texas ranch known as the Four Sixes in the third planned spin-off, "6666." A fourth sequel, 1883: The Bass Reeves Story, was also confirmed to be in the works for May 2022.
