In 2022, Carlos scripted history by winning his first Masters 1000 title at the Miami Open at the age of 18. Following that achievement, Carlos won against Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Alexander Zverev in the Madrid Open, winning his second Masters 1000 title.

Carlos' achievements in 2024 include winning at the French Open and Wimbledon, securing a silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics, and winning the 2024 China Open. His performances in 2024 made him the only player in ATP Tour history to win an ATP 500 singles title on every surface.
