Mexican boxer Jennifer Lozano was born in Laredo, Texas, on November 24, 2002. She became the first ever Olympian in any sport from Laredo after she qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics by clinching a silver medal at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago in the 50kg weight class.​ Lozano recalled starting her boxing training at the young age of nine because she was overweight and got bullied (via Team USA). She joined Boxing Pride Fitness under coach Eddie Vela to begin her training.

She was the champion of the National Junior Olympics from 2015 to 2019. Lozano also reigned in the National Golden Gloves competition in both 2018 and 2019. The boxer is a three-time gold medalist in the USA Boxing Elite National Championships (2020, 2021, and 2022) and a one-time bronze medalist in the same competition (2019). She also stood atop the podium in the 2022 AMBC Elite Championships and won a bronze medal at the 2023 Gee Bee International Tournament. She also pursued her associate degree from LBJ High School’s innovative biotechnology and science academy.
