Mexican boxer Jennifer Lozano was born in Laredo, Texas, on November 24, 2002. She became the first ever Olympian in any sport from Laredo after she qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics by clinching a silver medal at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago in the 50kg weight class. Lozano recalled starting her boxing training at the young age of nine because she was overweight and got bullied (via Team USA).
