DeWanna Bonner is a basketball player who plays for the Connecticut Sun of the WNBA. She was born on 21st August 1987 and started playing basketball at Fairfield High Preparatory School where she was named McDonald's All-American. After that, she moved to college basketball at Auburn University team in 2005. She averaged 13.5 points per game in her freshman year and made the SEC All-Freshman Team selection. For her college success in her senior year, she became the Southeastern Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year in 2009.
In 2009 Bonner was selected 5th overall by the Phoenix Mercury team in the WNBA draft. In her rookie season, she became the WNBA champion.
